On November 29th, Skip Klabon was chosen as the winner of the Meyer Lumber $1000. Shopping Giveaway. Klabon was selected at random from almost 1500 entries submitted at the store from August 29th – November 29th.

Skip Klabon couldn’t believe what he was hearing when he was contacted by phone about being the winner. He said, “Oh, my gosh”! The shock of winning left him speechless. He entered the contest when he and his wife were in shopping for carpeting. They said they found the perfect match and now they would be able to work on another room in the house. Skip of coarse might find some new tools to help him get the job done.

Dale Meyer said that Meyer Lumber is delighted to provide one of its customers with the opportunity to make their next project a little easier to accomplish. We’re glad that Skip will be able to choose whatever he wants to make this Christmas season more enjoyable. We thank all those who entered the giveaway for their participation.

We still offer the same great building materials we always have but now they are housed in a drive-thru building.

In stock a wide selection of Dewalt power tools along with Milwaukee, Black & Decker and Skil. We also stock Bostitch, Paslode and Grip Rite pneumatic and gas powered tools. Many other major brands of power and pneumatic tools are available through the Do It Best warehouse or direct from the manufacturers.

Need a locksmith?

If a locksmith is needed, Meyer Lumber has a full locksmithing service, including simple key cutting and rekeying of locks, to making computer chip keys, new keys for locks with lost keys and safety deposit box pulling and safe cracking. If it has a lock, we can help. Our main lines of locks include Schlage, Kwikset and Dexter.


From Then to Now

Meyer Lumber is owned and operated by cousins, Dale and Duane Meyer. In 1954 Dale’s father Alvin, Duane’s father Art and another brother Clifford started Meyer Lumber Company on the west side of Dorchester. In 1987 Dale and Duane purchased the then incorporated Meyer Lumber Supply, Inc. In 2008 a new store was built and the business moved to its new location on the east side of Highway 13 in Dorchester. The new address became 1241 Meyer Drive, 1 block east of Hwy 13 on County Highway ‘A’. See map above. The “How to find us” map on the left is not accurate.

If our expanded hours and being open 7 days a week still doesn’t work for you, shop the Do It Best warehouse online where you can purchase any of the warehouse items for overnight delivery. If you want to purchase a product that cannot be delivered by UPS, you can use the Ship to Store feature, this allows you to order online and have it shipped to our store via the Do It Best truck. Our Do It Best truck deliveries are every Friday around noon except for Holiday weeks which are Saturdays.
